INSPIRATION

I come from an environment where I learned early on that work would always be an integral part of my life. So when I was still in high school, I decided if that is the case, then work should be fun.

From the odd jobs I did as a teenager, I also understood that the training and education I choose would influence my career choices and the kind of life I would be able to lead.

When a friend’s parents encouraged me to go to university, I still had no clue what to study, let alone what to do afterwards.

Looking back now, it wasn’t just the subject I chose that shaped my future. It was the people I met along the way who helped me refine my values and encouraged me to live and work according to my guiding principles.

INTERPRETATION

I value lifelong learning. Every person is constantly a work in progress, continuously gathering experiences.

It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, at a loss of options, to learn from mistakes, to ask for guidance, encouragement and feedback.

Leaders and their teams both have the responsibility to enable each other to be the best versions of themselves.

I encourage you to …

“Be brave. Enjoy Life. Reach out.”
